Having only eaten at the restaurant, it is good satisfying pub fare. On occasion the portions can be small, and the kitchen can be slow. Over all a good place to eat.
We didn't stay at hotel but had an amazing dinner at Joe Friday's...everything was delicious and cooked to perfection and prices were good too...not easy to find entrance...small and quaint ..we will definitely be back when in town
We usually love the Bedford . Every year we make reservations on the night of the Bluesfest , for 10 -16 people. This year they would not take reservations . We went in smaller groups . We were told at the door that they would have to sit us with random people. We said no. Then the service . Was slow . It took half an hr to get our drinks 2 hrs to receive our food . Getting our bill was an ordeal. I was dissapointed in the time and service. Will not be going back for along time. No one asked us how our food or did we need anything . Nor was anything done to fix the problem.
We stay here every year during the Music in The Fields festival with our production company. Staff is helpful and cheerful, continental breakfast is pretty standard. The beds are comfy and the pizza from the bar is good! We're always treated nicely and have a great time. I do wish front desk was open longer during the festival days, but otherwise no complaints.
Price is good and it's right on the square to all shopping. Very dated but beds were comfy and rooms were quite small.
