Very nice restaurant pub located at the town square in Goderich. Clean interior, with two dining areas, one pub style and the other a restaurant layout. Beautiful wood paneling interior and furniture. Has a very large menu, lots of traditional pub grub and kids menu too. Great food, large portions. I had the fish & chips, wife had a chicken quesadilla, both were fabulous. Friendly, pleasant service. Reasonable prices. Would definitely visit again and try some more of that huge menu.
Had to wait long time to be seated several server could have at least said something to us instead of ignoring us completely. Place was about half full. Had to almost run to keep up with hostess. Server was great. Food substandard from what I usually get there. Burger burnt. Chicken in stir fry overcooked. If not for wonderful server would have been 1 star. No longer favorite place to go.
The food was decent. Although our visit was an hour and a half for just a 15 minute dinner. The service was exceptionally slow during non-peak hours. The meal was prepared quickly. Although getting the bill was another long wait time. We've never gone through 3 different waitresses in one visit anywhere. Unlikely we will ever go back
We were visiting from out of town, and a local recommended Paddy ONeils. Im so glad they did! Casual atmosphere. Friendly staff. Extensive pub food menu. Large portion sizes. Our server, Erin, was attentive, prompt, and friendly. And, they had 14 beers on tap!
We won't go back.. wife's supper was uncooked in the middle and burnt to a crisp on outside. My fish dinner was very small for a high priced meal. When asked how we enjoyed our meal (after we put most of it in a to go box to bring home to our dogs) we told the waitress how it was but we were not offered any compensation at all.
