Ive had some BAD meals in my time, but THIS was TERRIBL...y delicious! Great atmosphere and our server had a keen sense of humor. We liked the open concept kitchen where all can see the hard work that goes into the meals. Meals generously portioned but not overwhelming, and well presented. We appreciated that you were open on a holiday Monday so we werent resigned to the fate of the dreaded hotel continental breakfast! I loved the wee complimentary star cookie that came with my meal (of course I ate this first).
I was absolutely shocked and thrilled by the food and over all atmosphere of their restaurant.The food I had was so amazing not to mention I've never had a grilled cheese with Montreal smoked meat that was so good! It was on home made bread and the pickle was awesome too. I will recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good meal for a great price.My final note is that they have a little something for everyone and that just tickles me pink!!!
Was looking for a place to dine in Goderich today while motorcycling with a friend. (29 June 2018) Just happened to park beside this place and decided to try it. Definitely not disappointed. The clam chowder was rich and tasty. The half pound beef brisket came with several thick slices piled high. At 12.99, it was a bargain. I've had roast beef sandwiches with an inch of beef for the same price in other restaurants. Even after separating it into two open face sandwiches, they were still more than I could get my mouth around. I finally resorted to using a knife and fork! My buddy was equally happy with his selection. The service was fine..no complaints. I don't get that way often but certainly look forward to eating there again.
Had pulled pork sandwich and Montreal smoked meat here. The portions are big and prices are more than reasonable for what you get. The pulled pork was rich and filling, the Montreal smoked meat was arguably better than many top places in Montreal. The owner Kevin is a really nice guy and we had a great chat. The diner has a unique atmosphere of an american diner that is rare to see these days.
Was there for the first time for breakfast with my daughter, we had the Eggs Benedict and it was the absolute best I have ever had! The service was perfect and the restaurant itself is decorated in a fun and vintage style! I can hardly wait to go back!!
